Manual Handling Safety Training
Manual handling safety training is designed to educate workers on safe techniques for lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects manually. It is an essential aspect of workplace safety, particularly in industries where employees frequently handle heavy loads or perform repetitive manual handling tasks. The training aims to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries and promote safe work practices.
Course Aims & Objectives
- To provide information and training on Safe working procedures, Risk assessment techniques, Injury causation factors.
- To all QP personnel who carry out Manual Handling tasks as part of their work.
- Improve their Manual Handling practices by applying information and training provided.
- Reduce/eliminate injuries caused by incorrect Manual Handling of materials, by applying information and training provided on correct manual handling techniques.
- State injury causation typical of incorrect Manual Handling.
- State the basic functions of the spine and its components.
- Reduce/eliminate the occurrence of Cumulative Strain Injuries (CSI) by the application of correct Manual Handling Techniques.
- Apply Risk Assessment procedures to all new Manual Handling tasks.
- Demonstrate correct Manual Handling techniques
