NFPA is a worldwide, non-profit organization that was established in 1896 with the mission of reducing the number of deaths, injuries, and losses of property and economic activity that are caused by fire, electrical hazards, and other related dangers. Through more than 300 consensus codes and standards, research, training, education, outreach and advocacy; and by cooperating with others who share an interest in achieving the NFPA mission, the association disseminates information and expertise.
